Although compositors' stints is still a debatable issue, would you consider including references to the assumed compositor in the Folio tagging you describe, so that textual scholars may also compare features of the practice of a given compositor among several fragments of the play or amon several plays?
From your experience in both fields, are there any differences between editing and annotating a Shakespeare play for a print edition and doing so for a web-based edition in terms of decisions to retain, emend or modernize words and punctuation? and in terms of decision over the collation or commentary notes? I'm also curious about the editor's need to master digital technology in order to prepare an Internet Shakespeare edition (e.g. html language, text encoding protocols, application software).
