You note that John Jowett's Measure for Measure includes "slightly overwhelming visual effects". Does an "agency-aware" text necessarily draw the reader's attention primarily to authorship by being visually or schematically distinctive? If so, in what ways is this productive and/or limiting for readers?
Would editions that highlight the presence and placement of individual authors in a collaborative work be useful for texts that do not include an iconic author? Is the main benefit being able to separate distinct stylistic patterns or being able to find Shakespeare?
